Let us be the light that outshines the darkness today.
I don’t know about you but I really dislike Halloween. I’m not a fan of horror movies and scary/gory looking costumes. During October I know many Christians get major spiritual warfare including myself. The harder we fight back against the enemy the worse the warfare is. It can take a major toll on us physically, mentally, and spirituality.
In Ephesians 6:12 it says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Our battle is against things that are hidden. We can’t see our enemy but we know he is there watching us and waiting for his next attack.
During Halloween Day, there will be so much spiritual attacks because Satan wants to trap us within the ways of the world. Today we must have our battle gear on.
Ephesians 6:13 it states, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Let’s “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” (Ephesians 6:14-17). The Lord has equipped us for every need. He explains everything so simply that it is very easy for us to understand it.
Let us not only have our armor on but let us be a light to those who are lost within the Devil’s trap. We all know that sin feels good. We know how tempting it is to follow the crowd rather than follow after God. But we must hold tight to God’s word. Let’s hold tight to His promises. As Christians, let’s show the world who God is and that there is a way out of their sin. Let us not give in to fear and doubt because God is there protecting and guiding us.
My prayer for you all is that you be a light to those around you. I pray you will be safe. And pray for those who feel the need to dress demonic. Pray for the people who have been dressing up as clowns to scare and hurt people. That they may come to know Christ. Let us be the light that outshines the darkness today.
